A very important technological impact on education is the increase in interactivity and class participation. In addition, better general understanding, practical learning, time management, and blended learning methodologies are just some of the impacts that technology has had on student learning. However, time and time again, technology has proven to have a positive impact on student learning, preparing them not only for higher education but also for the workforce. Technology is a powerful tool that can support and transform education in many ways, from making it easier for teachers to create teaching materials to allowing new ways for people to learn and work together.
We also propose that future studies point to similar research by applying more holistic approaches to impact assessment that can provide detailed data on the impact of digital technologies on education. Teachers who wish to make the transition and acquire the necessary skills to incorporate technology into education can take advantage of learning opportunities to improve their competencies. The latter posed problems related to the quality of teaching and learning with ICTs, especially with regard to the understanding, adaptation and design of educational systems in accordance with current technological trends. The results of the literature review were organized thematically based on the evidence presented on the impact of digital technology on education and the factors affecting the digital capacity and digital transformation of schools.
In addition, the development of a theory of change could be a good approach for documenting the impact of digital technologies on education. Istenic, Starcic and Bagon (201) concluded that the role of ICTs in the inclusion and design of pedagogical and technological interventions had not been sufficiently explored in educational interventions aimed at people with special needs; however, some benefits of the use of ICTs in the social integration of students were found. Integrating digital technology into education systems can be a challenge, and leaders need guidance to achieve this. Below are examples of the importance of technology in education and the benefits it offers to students and teachers. Although technology may have traditionally been used as a tool for a PowerPoint presentation, nowadays, technology affects all stages of the learning process, such as instant evaluation, project exchange, group work, etc.
The personal characteristics and professional development of teachers affect the impact of digital technologies on education. The results revealed that the use of digital technologies in education affects a variety of actors within the school ecosystem. As a result, the impact of digital technologies should be explored more as a facilitator of new and desirable practices and not simply as a catalyst that improves the performance of the educational process i. Schools can benefit from technology by reducing the costs of physical teaching materials, improving the efficiency of educational programs, and making the most of teachers' time.
